At 6'11" and 246 pounds, Marques Bolden has the frame to make himself an elite center. Although he has this outstanding potential, Bolden hasn't translated his potential into results just yet, mainly because he was plauged by injuries for the majority of the 2016-2017 season, which then limited his minutes. Bolden hopes this year will be a break out year for him, but with Marvin Bagley III and Wendell Carter, Jr. playing so well, it will be tough for Bolden to get significant minutes to show his improvement in his game.
Bolden will most likely get some playing time each game of the season; however, the question is how many minutes will he get per night. Bolden will also only come in for either Bagley or Carter -- as Bolden only plays as a Center. Coming off the bench, Bolden will help bring in his great shot blocking ability, his rebounding skills, and his defensive presence in the middle of the paint. To get to the next level, Bolden will have to work on rebounding at a higher rate.
In this video, assistant coach Jeff Capel goes over film on Marques Bolden. This video also gives you insight on what coaches and players look for when looking on how to improve a player's game and what feedback the coaches might give the players.
