Role on the Team

As with junior Brennan Besser, Mike Buckmire is a walk-on player for the men's basketball team. Not much is known for Buckmire besides that he received some offers from Division III schools and his connection with Duke is that his father is a Duke alumnus (more info on the Chronicle article about Buckmire). He hasn't appeared in any games yet, and he probably won't appear in any games this season, even if Duke is winning by a blowout.
